Agni is the Sanskrit word for digestive fire: the inner warmth that turns food into energy. When Agni is balanced, the body feels light, clear and steady.

Our Agni blend is a warming herbal tea built to support that fire, based on indigenous traditions from Sri Lanka. A small ritual to enjoy after meals.

Why your Agni matters

Energy, clarity and calmness

What is agni?

Agni means "fire." Your digestive fire.

Think of it like the flame that powers your body from the inside. It's what turns food into energy. A strong fire means good digestion and energy. A weak one means you feel heavy, tired, or bloated after eating.

In Ayurveda, we look at everyone differently. Some people naturally have a strong, steady digestion, others run more sensitive or unpredictable. That's why lifestyle and nutrition should be matched to your type of agni.

What a strong Agni feels like

A healthy digestion means:

  • Ease after meals: no heaviness or bloating after every meal.
  • Steady energy: brain fog or low energy can be a digestive issue sign when food is not proper digested.
  • Clearer skin: digestion and skin are more connected than people think. Researchers increasingly link the gut's microbiome to how the skin behaves.
  • Restful nights: a body still digesting a heavy meal has a harder time settling into deep sleep. That's why late, heavy digestion and restless nights often go together.
  • Sharper thinking: the gut and brain are in constant contact through the vagus nerve. That direct connection is why digestion and focus are more linked than most people realize.
  • Steady mood: much of the body's serotonin, a key mood chemical, is made in the gut. It's one of the reasons researchers keep finding a link between digestion and mood.

That's why digestion deserves care. Through food, rest, and simple daily rituals.

Why this blend

In Ayurveda, herbs are traditionally combined into blends, known as polyherbal formulations to support the body together. Here's what each ingredient brings to this blend.

  • Dry ginger: Warming · Digestive stimulant
  • Namal stamens: Bittersweet · Aromatic · Cooling
  • Kalanduru: Digestive · Calming
  • Licorice: Soothing · Sweet · Grounding

*According to Ayurveda, spices and herbs can support the body. However, they are not a cure for serious illness. If you're experiencing symptoms, please speak to a healthcare professional.

When to drink it
  • After a heavier meal: especially at dinner. Give your body ten minutes of warmth and it will thank you before bed.
  • In the morning: had a heavy meal yesterday? Start your morning with a warming herbal tea to kickstart your digestion.
  • As a daily ritual: in the morning or after food. Support your digestion daily.
